From my early childhood, I've always considered the month of June in Split as the perfect period for holidays. This month with September is one of the quietest in Split city and nearby islands.
Period of swimming is in full swing and days are getting longer and each day is warmer and warmer. All beaches in Split are open but in June are much quieter, without the usual crowds as in July or August.

June in Split is a perfect time for all kind of outdoor activities. Apart from traditional walking tours or biking tours with standard or electronic bikes on nearby Marjan hill, June offers all kind of water sports like kayaking around Marjan peninsula all the way to Ciovo island.
If you're a lover of good food and wine, Split is a good place for some foodie and wine tours with sweets and snacks through some Split’s finest foodie hangouts located in and around the Diocletian Palace.
No one will be bored in Split! Although June, in a way, is a kind of announcement for many more important upcoming events, still there are some interesting festivals.
